Mick Hucknall ist seit 1985 der Songwriter und Bandleader von Simply Red, seit 1986 wird er vom langjährigen Saxophonisten Ian Kirkham unterstützt. Die aktuelle Besetzung ist seit 2003 konstant geblieben und die neue Tour wird die Kernstärken dieser fantastischen Band ausspielen.
“I want them to enjoy playing, for crowds to get up and move around, and everybody to put their heart into it. It’s all about capturing the groove”, sagt Hucknall.
