40 YEARS OF THE HOUSE BUILDERS' FAIR IN GRAZ

The anniversary a complete success

This is an encouraging sign, especially in challenging times – and the Graz Home Builders’ Fair provided an important impetus here. As a barometer of the industry’s mood, it gave us an optimistic outlook for the coming business year and provided new impetus for investment, innovation and growth. The 40th anniversary edition of Häuslbauermesse Graz was an impressive milestone and exceeded the expectations of visitors and exhibitors alike. From 23 to 26 January 2025, over 30,000 interested visitors flocked to the Graz exhibition halls to find out about the latest innovations and trends in building, renovating, saving energy and living. With over 400 exhibitors and an extensive supporting programme, the trade fair once again confirmed its central role as the leading platform for the construction and housing industry in the region.

Highlights of the trade fair

The anniversary edition offered numerous highlights that appealed to both trade visitors and private individuals:

  • Sustainability and energy efficiency: Modern heating systems, photovoltaic solutions, sustainable building materials and smart home technologies took centre stage and showed how climate protection and energy savings can be successfully combined.
  • Diverse supporting programme: around 70 specialist presentations and live demonstrations offered in-depth insights into topics such as ecological construction, subsidies and legal aspects of building
  • “Now more than ever – tips & tricks for building a house”: Experts Günther Nussbaum (“Der Pfusch-am-Bau-Checker”) and Dr Christian Horwath, known from TV, inspired the audience with practical advice that met with a great response.
  • NEW: Trade Day: On Thursday 23 January, tradespeople were given exclusive free admission to the trade fair. The initiative was used by many trade visitors to expand their networks and make new business contacts.

    SUMMARY OF THE TRADE FAIR

The mood in the consumer and investment sector is showing encouraging signs of recovery.”

    Visitor response and outlook

    The anniversary fair was a complete success, as the positive feedback from visitors shows. The high quality of the advice, the wide range of topics and the practical expert presentations were particularly appreciated.

    The next Hauslbauermesse Graz will take place from 22 – 25 January 2026. Preparations are already in full swing to once again create an inspiring and innovative programme.
