THE MAWEV SHOW 2024 - A COMPLETE SUCCESS!
From 10 April – 13 April 2024, the most exciting large-scale construction site took place at the VAZ St. Pölten – the MAWEV Show 2024. Both the exhibitors and the MAWEV Association and the MCG were highly satisfied with the large number of visitors.
HIGH QUALITY OF THE AUDIENCE
The more than 200 exhibitors were full of praise for the high-calibre trade visitors who stormed the more than 200,000 m² site, consisting of an outdoor area and several halls, in glorious weather. The presentations and demonstrations, as well as the pure presentation, were once again very well received by the almost 20,000 trade visitors this year. The public shovelled, excavated, drove and swung what the more than 1,000 construction machines, which represented a total value of more than one billion euros, had to offer.
LORRY TEST TRACK
A special highlight of the MAWEV Show 2024 was once again the lorry test track in the outdoor area East. Drivers and machines of all kinds were able to put their skills to the test on the challenging terrain. The enthusiastic audience followed these test drives with great interest.
3 - 2 - 1 - ACTION!
The fact that no stone was left unturned was one hundred per cent due to the huge range of activities offered by the exhibitors at the MAWEV Show 2024. In addition to the opportunity to test many construction machines, try out excavators or simply get hands-on with a wide variety of tools, there were also countless competitions and contests. These ranged from logo welding competitions to various games of skill with the construction giants.
PLAYGROUND FOR BIG & SMALL
Of course, a construction machinery trade fair of this size did not go unnoticed by the private public. The rush of enthusiastic private individuals was clearly noticeable, many families with children took advantage of the opportunity and were delighted with the free admission for their offspring. The fact that technical colleges were also present and the latest machines could be marvelled at probably sparked a passion for the industry in some of the younger visitors.
SUPPORT FROM CITY & STATE
In particular, the cooperation between the organiser of the MAWEV Show, MCG from Graz, and the city of St. Pölten and the province of Lower Austria and the relevant authorities and offices worked extremely well. The MAWEV Show has been an important value-adding factor for the entire region and the province of Lower Austria since 2018.
SUMMARY OF THE TRADE FAIR
Armin Egger, CEO of MCG, is very satisfied: “We have a sold-out site where well over a thousand of the latest machines, attachments and services etc. are on display and can be tried out by the experts. Everything is moving, everything is working and shovelling, excavating and levelling etc.. The MAWEV Show is certainly one of the most exciting trade fairs in the European construction and construction machinery industry.”
Otto Singer, President of the MAWEV Association, is delighted: “I attribute the great success of the show to the six-year interval between the last MAWEV Show and this one. In addition, the trade visitors were informed about very important news and the response from both the exhibitors and the public was very, very positive. After the MAWEV Show is of course also before the MAWEV Show and we are already thinking about how the next MAWEV Show can be organised in an attractive way.”
Matthias Stadler, Mayor of St. Pölten, on the MAWEV Show 2024: “In the course of the MAWEV, St. Pölten was able to present itself as a vital business location and modern congress centre as well as a versatile provincial capital. I would like to thank the entire event team for the smooth running and excellent organisation. I look forward to continuing this successful collaboration on many levels in the future in the interests of the business location.”
