MOTIONEXPO2024 - A COMPLETE SUCCESS!

MotionExpo2024, which took place from 8-10 March, was a great success for Messe Graz. The enthusiasm of the almost 19,000 visitors could clearly be seen on the faces of over 450 vehicles from around 100 exhibitors. New cars, motorbikes, technology, e-bikes, classic cars and tuning as far as the eye could see. And because that wasn’t enough, there were also two special exhibitions – 110 Years of Maserati and Fascination of the Emergency Services, an informative stage programme, a racing area, the e-bike festival and test drives with new cars. Every mobility enthusiast got their money’s worth here.

MOBILITY IN ALL ITS FACETS

The most interesting car dealerships and brands presented their new cars at MotionExpo2024 – all of this combined with expert advice clearly helped visitors with their future purchasing decisions. The Austrian and Styrian premieres were a special highlight, as they are every year at MotionExpo: These were celebrated, for example, by Maserati GranTurismo Folglore, Peugeot E-3008, Vespa GTS Super Sport, Renault Alpine A290_β, Renault SCENIC E-TECH ELECTRIC BYD Seal, BYD Seal U, Skoda Superb, Skoda Kodiaq NG Selection, Skoda Kamiq, Skoda Scala, Smart #3 BRABUS Toyota C-HR, Ford Explorer EV, Alfa Romeo Tonale, Ford Tourneo Courier, KTM 990 Duke, KTM 1390 Supderduke EVO and Volvo EX30. The range of vehicles and technologies for two-wheelers extended from e-scooters to custom bikes and e-bikes. The lively interest in classic cars was hard to miss, with thousands of shining eyes at the sight of these well-preserved classics. Tuning fans – whether bodywork, chassis, engine or interior – also got their money’s worth at MotionExpo2024.

EXTENSIVE PROGRAMME

In addition to the impressive presentation of the vehicles, there was a programme suitable for mobility enthusiasts – a top-class stage programme with discussions on all MotionExpo topics and two special themes. “110 years of Maserati” presented the history of the legendary vehicle brand. Here, visitors could reminisce about the great days of the Italian car manufacturer with the trident in the 1960s. The second special exhibition, which completely captivated all age groups, was the “Fascination of the emergency services”. From traffic accident simulations by the fire brigade together with the Green Cross, to mountain and water rescue drills and a look behind the scenes at all our friends and helpers, such as the civil patrol, the army and the rescue service – every item on the programme was a huge highlight for all visitors. While walking around the grounds, guests were also able to draw a line between historic vehicles and the mobility of the future. In the restoration area, for example, professionals presented their skills to give old treasures new lustre. In the technology area, sensor technology and robotics for the future of autonomous driving met the vision of bringing wooden components for cars, trains and buses into series production and thus making mobility more sustainable on many levels.

SUMMARY OF THE TRADE FAIR

Armin Egger, CEO of Messe Congress Betriebsgesellschaft m.B.H., is delighted with the outcome of MotionExpo2024: “MotionExpo went really well again – satisfied exhibitors, visitors and partners. Tens of thousands of visitors gratefully accepted the mixture of successful presentation of over 450 (new) vehicles by our 100 or so exhibitors, perfectly prepared information in numerous presentations, the Classic Car Convention on Saturday for all the classic car enthusiasts, as well as the necessary portion of action at the demonstrations in the Racing Area and the special exhibition of the emergency services. The opportunity to test drive e-bikes and new cars was also very popular with our visitors. The range of means of transport on display, both from research and development and from everything that is needed for the means of transport itself, was impressive. We are already full of motivation for the next MotionExpo, which will certainly have numerous highlights in store for everyone again from 14 – 16 March 2025.”
