Sukhishvili is a legendary ensemble that has been preserving the traditions of authentic Georgian dance for more than 75 years. Impressive choreography, colorful costumes, ardent passion, as well as an orchestra with unique musical instruments, to the sounds of which the musical history of Georgia unfolds on stage. The National Ballet of Georgia became the only folk dance ensemble to set a world record on the famous LaSkala stage in Milan: the curtain of the theater was raised fourteen times after their performance. The Georgians thus broke the record set by Enrico Caruso, after whose performance the curtain rose eleven times.

As the Georgian National Ballet “Sukhishvili” performs with its own orchestra, which accompanies the entire performance live on traditional and exotic instruments, each performance becomes a total work of art. The musicians of this orchestra have special playing techniques that are not taught anywhere else and are passed down from generation to generation.

The dance ensemble has a long history and is named after its founder, who remains as popular and highly respected today as he was 79 years ago.
