Live in Concert!
In “Avatar – The Lord of the Elements in Concert”, the audience is transported into a two-hour spectacle with a live orchestra that brings the iconic film music to life. Scenes from all three seasons of the series will be shown on a cinema screen. Jeremy Zuckerman, the Emmy award-winning composer and musician behind the original score for the animated fantasy series, has teamed up with series creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, as well as Jeff Adams, the series’ original editor, to expand on the original compositions for this concert series.
This spectacular production not only magnifies the epic scope and high drama of the series, but also offers fans the first opportunity to experience the immersive world of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” through this live orchestral concert. “It’s incredibly satisfying and moving to see the emotional reaction of the audience at the concerts. Being part of that atmosphere is a uniquely wonderful experience,” says Zuckerman. “It fills me with great joy that many more – both new and old Avatar fans – will be able to experience the show during this extended tour.”
An award-winning success story.
Honoured with a Peabody Award and a Primetime Emmy, along with multiple Annie Awards and Genesis Awards, Nickelodeon’s “Avatar: The Last Airbender” has established itself as one of the most popular animated series in history after its three-year run (61 episodes) from February 2005 to July 2008. In 2021, Nickelodeon announced the creation of Avatar Studios, a new division aimed at creating original content based on the world of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and “The Legend of 2 Korra”. The success of the animated series also led to a companion podcast “Avatar: Braving the Elements”, currently in its third season, a remastered soundtrack by series and tour composer Jeremy Zuckerman. The series has also been translated into several bestselling book series that continue to publish new original stories. The graphic novel series has sold over three million copies, and the young adult novels have spent a total of 25 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list with over 700,000 copies in print.
The world tour is also bringing this magical concert experience to Austria: on Friday, 28 March 2025 in the Stadthalle Graz (start: 8 pm). Tickets are available from Friday, 31 May 2020 (4 pm) at all known advance booking offices!
