An all-rounder
The Stadthalle Graz is not only the largest multifunctional hall in the city, but also one of the most modern in Europe. Not only because its bold architecture can be adapted to any event – concert, congress, TV show, ball, sporting event, you name it – but also because it combines indoor and open air. Inside meets outside. The Stadthalle can be opened up at the rear, creating an indoor and outdoor space that merge into one another. Unique! The spectacular roof construction, designed by star architect Klaus Kada, also incorporates the public space in front of the venue and thus the city.
From large to small
Incidentally, it forms an unbeatable event complex together with Messecongress Graz and Messe Graz. The Stadthalle Graz has a standing capacity of 14,520, 11,403 seats in a standing-seated version and 5,561 seats. 6,500 square metres of pillar-free event space and an additional 3,000 square metres of foyer space, which can be extended to around 20,000 square metres for exhibitions and trade fairs, round off the complete package. Wow! Global stars such as Linkin Park, Muse, Pink, Slipknot and Bryan Adams have already filled this hall with music and fans.

A place to rock out, rock out and rock out… Since 2002, the year Stadthalle Graz was founded, many international acts have been invited to perform in the provincial capital. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, Stadthalle Graz is perfectly equipped for every genre. This makes every concert an unforgettable event. Incidentally, the first concert in the new Stadthalle was mastered by James Last in 2002, followed by many other stars who made the Stadthalle shake.

But the Stadthalle has not only proven itself as a concert venue. Today, the venue is one of the biggest in Austria and Europe. It is also a popular venue for trade fairs, entertainment and TV shows as well as balls. It is not only the Styrian Farmers’ Union Ball that takes place in the Stadthalle Graz every year and welcomes up to 16,000 dance and food-loving visitors. Large TV programmes also like to use the pillar-free space of the location.
From sport
to conference
Are we talking about a place with many possibilities? Then of course the conference, seminar, congress, company party and sports areas should not be missing. The Stadthalle Graz offers a perfect all-round combination for a wide variety of configurations with the adjoining exhibition congress and exhibition hall A. This also knows no limits when it comes to challenging structures or concepts: even large sporting events such as the European Handball Championships are possible in Graz’s most modern event hall.

HOW TO REACH US
The MCG is easy to reach by public transport.
The following lines stop nearby:
- Tram line 5: Jakominigürtel/tim
- Tram line 4 (13): Stadthalle, Fröhlichgasse/Messe
- Tram line 6: Moserhofgasse
- Bus route 66: Fröhlichgasse/Messe
Ostbahnhof is a long-distance and regional railway station and is a stop on the S-Bahn S31 and S3 lines. The MCG is approx. 350m away.

From 2025, the public underground car park at Fröhlichgasse 20 and 23 will be available to you.
As with all other public car parks, you will have to pay the costs yourself.
For appointments for viewings/appointments, please enter via Fröhlichgasse/Entrance 2. Register with the porter and park at the Block 4 car park.

If you are travelling by car, take the A2 and exit at Graz Ost. From there it is only 1.5 kilometres to the MCG.
